GALM History & GALM 2014 Series Information:

The GALM Series consists of 4 distinct flagship congresses per year across America, Europe and Asia - all of which have now become key dates in the automotive industry diary. Although most people attend between two and four of the conferences, each one has been designed for a distinct audience in mind:

  • Global Automotive Lightweight Materials 2014, Shanghai, China, March 26-27
  • Global Automotive Lightweight Materials: Multi-Materials Supply & Manufacturing Summit 2014, London, UK, April 23-24
  • Global Lightweight Vehicle Manufacturing Congress 2014, Detroit, USA, May 28-29
  • Global Automotive Lightweight Materials 2014, Detroit, USA, August 20-21

In 2008, LBCG and American Business Conferences moved into the automotive sector. Since then they have fronted a multitude of leading automotive summits focusing on areas such as Lightweight Materials, Lightweight Vehicle Manufacturing, Hybrid, EV Battery, Powertrain, Natural Gas Vehicles, EV Charging, Connected In-Vehicle Infotainment and more.

After first launching in London and Detroit in 2012, the Global Automotive Lightweight Materials Series has established itself as the world leading automotive lightweighting forum.

Since launch, the GALM series has doubled in size with over 1000 automotive professionals benefiting from the series so far.

After a recent launch into Asia, we head to Detroit in May for a brand new event designed specifically for manufacturing, vehicle engineering, technology, body shop and assembly professionals.

  • Please note that we will still be hosting Global Automotive Lightweight Materials Detroit in August 2014.
